Pass Plus

Statistically, as a new driver you are more likely to have an accident in the first two years of driving than at any other time. This is a great concern to your own personal safety and that of others. It is also the main reason for high insurance premiums for new drivers.

Pass Plus is a further certificate you can take as a newly qualified driver (within 12 months of passing your test) which will enhance your driving skills.

Pass Plus will build on your existing skills and knowledge and will teach you how to anticipate, plan and deal with various road hazards to make you a more confident and safer driver.

Pass Plus is made up of six 1 hour modules:

• driving in town
• driving in all weather conditions
• driving on rural roads
• driving at night
• driving on dual carriageways
• driving on motorways


You will not need to take a test at the end of the course but will be individually assessed throughout each module. You must successfully complete all the modules to an achieved or succeeded standard.

You can repeat a module if necessary to attain the required standard.

Your instructor will complete a Progress Report and Training Report Form and these will be sent to the Driving Standards agency (DSA) who will issue you with a certificate.

You will now be a more competent and safer driver and your insurance premiums could be substantially reduced.
